We are currently looking for an Industrial Electrician to join our Maintenance Team.
The position, under the direction of the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and infrastructure within a window and door manufacturing facility. This role ensures the safe and efficient operation of production machinery, control systems, and building electrical components to minimize downtime and maintain optimal manufacturing performance. The Industrial Electrician works closely with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to support both routine and emergency electrical needs in a fast-paced, industrial environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Troubleshoot and fix all electrical issues within the plant
- Perform upgrades on plant equipment and lighting systems to prevent future problems
- Operate/troubleshoot building utilities
- Optimize equipment safely, efficiently, and reliably
- Participate in continuous improvement projects and complete outstanding work orders according to the PM schedule
- Maintain records of work performed, materials used, and equipment modifications
- Assist in the setup and startup of new equipment
- Assist team in performing non-electric preventative maintenance tasks and general repairs
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
- Licensed Industrial (442A)/ or Construction Maintenance (309A) Electrician
- Five (5) years relevant work experience in an industrial environment
- Experience in maintenance or electrical power distribution and industrial instrumentation and process control systems
- Electrical system maintenance experience for Power Distribution, Variable Speed Motor Control, PLC’s, and experience with electrical construction installations and electrical codes
- Proven ability to troubleshoot problems with equipment and processes
- Mechanical aptitude is a definite asset; well versed in the use of hand and power tools
