We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our used vehicle sales team. The ideal candidate is passionate about automotive sales, customer service, and developing a high-performing team. You will be responsible for driving vehicle sales, managing daily dealership operations, coaching sales consultants, and ensuring an exceptional customer buying experience while meeting dealership goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed monthly sales targets.
- Manage daily used vehicle sales operations and ensure a smooth customer experience.
- Recruit, train, and mentor sales consultants to maximize performance and productivity.
- Monitor sales performance, KPIs, and closing ratios, implementing strategies for continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to generate repeat business and referrals.
- Handle customer inquiries, negotiate deals, and assist in closing vehicle sales when needed.
- Work closely with the Finance & Insurance (F&I) department to ensure a seamless sales and delivery process.
- Manage internet leads, phone inquiries, walk-in traffic, and follow-up activities.
- Ensure all customer interactions are accurately documented in the dealership CRM.
- Assist with trade-in evaluations and vehicle appraisals.
- Monitor used vehicle inventory, pricing, merchandising, and market competitiveness.
- Ensure vehicle listings on online marketplaces and dealership websites remain accurate and up to date.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports for dealership management.
- Ensure compliance with dealership policies and all applicable provincial regulations.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in automotive sales management or a senior automotive sales role.
- Strong knowledge of used vehicle sales and dealership operations.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a successful sales team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Experience using dealership CRM systems.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to analyze sales performance and implement effective sales strategies.
- Highly organized with excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
