Position Summary:
Assigned duties may include but are not limited to:
- Assisting instructors with class preparation;
- Monitoring tests and exams;
- Facilitating classes or tutorial sessions (in cases of remote-delivered or hybrid courses, these may be conducted online);
- Supporting student writing and learning;
- Assist with student email/discussion board inquiries and postings;
- Communication with students in in-person office hours, via email, and/or in online consultations;
- Marking to a rubric established by the instructor; and
- Other teaching-related duties as assigned by instructor.
Position Requirements
Position Requirements:
- Minimum of 60 credit hours of University education, including at least 18 credit hours of English;
- Preference will be given to English graduate, honours, or major students;
- An average of at least 70% in their major;
- An overall average of at least 65%;
- Strong academic writing skills; and,
- Teaching or tutoring experience, or related leadership experience, will be an asset.
Successful applicants will be trained.

This is an hourly position. Hours will vary.
There will be an Orientation training session – TBA.
All courses and T.A. positions are subject to budgetary approval and may change at any time.
