Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Concrete Foundation Specialist to lead the construction and installation of durable, high-quality concrete foundations for a variety of building projects. This role involves interpreting blueprints, operating heavy machinery, and applying expert techniques to ensure the structural integrity and safety of foundations. Duties
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute foundation layouts
- Prepare site by clearing, leveling, and setting up forms using concrete forming techniques and carpentry skills
- Install rebar reinforcement meticulously to ensure strength and compliance with engineering specifications
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, mixers, and compactors safely and efficiently to facilitate pouring and finishing concrete
- Pour, spread, level, and finish concrete surfaces using hand tools and power tools to achieve smooth, even finishes
- Conduct restoration work on existing foundations or structures as needed, including caulking and masonry repairs
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards by following proper procedures for heavy lifting, welding, and equipment operation
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction tools and heavy machinery operation
- Expertise in rebar installation, concrete forming, masonry, and flooring installation
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for accurate project execution
- Skilled in using hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels, as well as power tools like drills and saws
- Experience with concrete finishing techniques to produce high-quality surfaces
- Knowledge of renovation processes including caulking and restoration work on existing structures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during construction tasks
- Familiarity with welding procedures when required for reinforcement or structural modifications
- Construction experience with a focus on foundation work that emphasizes durability and precision
