Yard Foreman – Civil & Oilfield Yard
Prentice Creek Contracting is seeking a dependable, experienced Yard Foreman to lead daily operations in our civil and oilfield yard. This is a full-time position, 44 hours per week, with potential overtime based on workload and season.
About the role
The Yard Foreman is responsible for keeping the yard organized, safe, and running efficiently. You will supervise yard activities, coordinate equipment and materials, support dispatch and field operations, and help ensure everything is ready for the next job.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day yard operations.
- Supervise and support yard staff.
- Organize equipment, materials, and loading/unloading activities.
- Coordinate with operations, mechanics, and field crews.
- Maintain yard cleanliness, safety, and efficiency.
- Complete basic inspections and report maintenance concerns.
- Help track equipment and material movement.
What we’re looking for
- Experience in a yard, foreman, lead hand, or supervisory role.
- Background in civil construction, oilfield, or heavy equipment operations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Safety tickets considered an asset.
