The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Receiving Supervisor, the Receiver is responsible for ensuring that all stock received from suppliers are stocked on the shelves or in designated overstock areas. It is expected that the receiver implements appropriate actions in order to follow strict receiving policies and procedures which are directed by ISO standards. The receiver will also be responsible for suggesting and implementing ideas to better maintain the receiving of products and making sure products are placed in appropriate locations.
- Receives all products entering the warehouse, inputs packing slip into computer system by proper identification of purchase order number and/or product number.
- Indicates appropriately on forms for special products that are written on supplier’s packing slip in order to place in the right bin locations.
- Labels all temporary products appropriately according to company procedures. Makes any correction required for receiving procedures.
- Places products that are received in proper bin locations and directs other order pickers as to proper locations for products.
- Identifies appropriate location for overstock items and informs expediting and order pickers of these products locations.
- Assists in order picking and stock shelving when required.
- Assist in inventory preparation and count.
- Executes other duties requested by the immediate supervisor.
What You Offer:
- Minimum one (1) year experience as a Receiver/Warehouse Associate
- Minimum one (1) year experience driving Raymond Reach
- Raymond Reach forklift certified
- Experience with RF Scanner
- Ability to respond positively to all situations that may occur, quick thinker and able to handle pressure
- Strong communication skills
- Positive attitude
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and contribute to company success
- Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills
- Detail oriented
- Excellent computer skills
