Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Sales Engineer to join our team. The purpose of this position is to increase revenues for Santec LIS, Santec California, and Santec Canada. This role also involves working with the Senior Sales Engineer to establish sales targets and develop a plan. The Sales Engineer is also responsible for expanding the customer network by fostering trusting relationships with customers and providing outstanding product solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify new opportunities for Santec through market research and customer site visits
- Facilitate communication and flow of information between customers and R&D departments in Santec LIS, California, and Canada
- Travel to customer locations to make sales presentations and other locations as needed
- Record sales data to generate sales reports for budget forecasting and strategic planning purposes
- Make sales calls and contact prospective customers, negotiate specifications, pricing, and delivery
- Provides persuasive demonstrations and technical training to customers to demonstrate Santec’s products and their usage
- Create and forward quotations and other technical proposals to customers
- Manage sales expenses by developing and adhering to travel and expense budgets
- Build and maintain lasting relationships with internal and external contacts for collaborative and repeat business
- Attend fiberoptic conference shows, interacting with attendees and vendors to form new customer relationships and improve existing relations
- Adhere to the annual marketing plan through market sizing, periodic benchmarking and competitive analysis
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and engineering teams to ensure successful product launches
- Perform other job-related duties as required
Qualifications
- Technical Diploma in sales, engineering, or a combination of education and relevant experience
- 2+ years technical experience in fiberoptics testing, measurement, and sales
- 1+ years’ experience managing projects
- Experience using sales and marketing techniques
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively demonstrate products and integrate customer systems with product line
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office, Windows, and basic programming)
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Maintains a high level of technical knowledge about the Santec product line

Pay: $90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
