Company: Vantage Trailer Sales
Location: Lethbridge
Job Type: Full-time
About Us
At Vantage Trailer Sales, we pride ourselves on providing top-tier inventory and unmatched service to our customers. We are a fast-paced, team-oriented shop, and we’re looking for a reliable, motivated Shop Hand / Yard Specialist to keep our operations running smoothly. If you love working outdoors, hands-on problem solving, and being the backbone of a busy shop, we want to hear from you!
The Role
This isn’t just a "sit-and-wait" job. As our Shop Hand/Yard Specialist, you will wear many hats. You’ll be the master of the lot, the ultimate support for our service technicians, and the final touch on trailers before they head to their new homes.
An absolute must for this role: You must be extremely comfortable, safe, and precise on a forklift. Moving trailers and heavy equipment in tight spaces should be second nature to you.
Key Responsibilities
- Forklift Operations & Lot Organization: Safely operate a forklift to move, park, and organize trailers across the lot. Maximize space while ensuring a clean, presentable, and safe yard.
- Tech Support & RV Maintenance: Work directly alongside our service technicians to assist with RV/trailer maintenance, retrieve parts, and help keep jobs on schedule.
- Basic Trailer Repairs: Perform basic mechanical/hardware repairs on trailers as needed (wiring, lights, tires, etc.).
- Detailing & Detailing: Responsibly clean and detail trailers inside and out, ensuring they are spotless for customer delivery or showroom display.
- Yard Maintenance: Keep the shop and yard clean, organized, and free of debris. Manage basic seasonal yard upkeep.
What We’re Looking For
- Forklift Pro: Proven experience and extreme comfort operating a forklift (certification is a major plus, but hands-on skill is non-negotiable).
- Handy & Knowledgeable: A solid understanding of basic RV/trailer maintenance and mechanical systems. You know your way around a toolbox.
- Team Player: A strong work ethic and the ability to take direction well from service technicians and management.
- Detail-Oriented: Someone who takes pride in seeing a trailer look brand new after a deep clean.
- Physically Fit: Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs, bend, kneel, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Reliable: A valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
Benefits & Perks
- Competitive hourly wage based on experience.
- Paid time off / vacation days.
- A great team environment with opportunities to learn and grow your mechanical skills.
