The Position
We are looking for journeyman and apprentice electricians to fulfill full-time positions. Commercial experience is an asset. We are a safety-oriented shop and offer competitive wages and benefits.
The successful Journeyman and/or 4th year candidate will be able to demonstrate
- Competent use of all trade related tools and equipment,
- ability to organize tasks, make material lists, and manage time for themselves and two apprentices,
- their ability to read and interpret project drawings and specifications, and complete site paperwork timely and legibly.
The successful apprentice candidate will be able to
- Get to and from all project sites on their own,
- Adhere to all company safety guidelines,
- Follow the direction of their supervisor/journeyman.
- Complete tasks given to them in a timely manner.
Assets (Journeyman and Apprentices)
- Well rounded experience in commercial electrical installations (j-man /4th yr)
- Comfortable with reading and interpreting drawings (j-man /4th yr)
- WHMIS and/or CSTS Training
- First aid training
- Fall Arrest and Aerial Work Platform training/certification
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
Qualifications/Requirements
- Must have drivers license and your own reliable transportation.
- Must have personal hand tools and basic power tools
- Must be able to commute daily within the Calgary area
- Must produce Journeyperson/Red seal certification for journeyman positions
- Must be indentured with AIT for apprentice positions
Compensation
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $19.50-$39.00 per hour
