The Basic Gist:
Hi, my name is The Mule. I love chef-inspired tacos, cult classics, tequila drinks, GOOD tunes, vegetarians, bourbon, graffiti, vegans, mood lighting, queso & YOU.
I should also mention I'm 100% gluten free. And I'm 100% serious about that. Our bartenders have crafted a bourbon -and tequila- focused cocktail menu that will surprise and fascinate, and we also have a variety of beers on tap.
We are Burlington's favorite lunch spot, and go-to destination for a great bite & drink. Our tacos range from classic to weird-and-wild-you’ve-gotta-try-this.
We offer a variety of fare that is sure to satisfy either the most dedicated carnivore or delight your vegetarian and/or vegan side.
Summary
The Mule is on the hunt for a solid Prep Cook to join our crew.
We’re all about fresh food, good vibes, and a fast-paced kitchen that runs on teamwork. If you like staying busy, take pride in what you put out, and don’t mind getting your hands dirty (in a good way), you’ll fit right in.
What you will be doing:
- Prepping ingredients for service (chopping, mixing, portioning, sauces, etc.)
- Keeping things stocked, organized, and ready to go
- Working alongside the kitchen team to keep service running smoothly
- Keeping your station clean and dialed in
- Helping out wherever needed - we’re a team-first kind of place
What we are looking for:
- Some kitchen or prep experience is great, but not a dealbreaker
- Someone reliable who shows up ready to work
- Quick on their feet and comfortable in a busy kitchen
- Positive attitude and easy to work with
- Availability for evenings, weekends and holidays is required.
