Job Summary
The Maintenance Associate is responsible for maintaining the hotel's facilities, guest suites, equipment, and public areas to ensure a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for guests and team members. This role performs preventive maintenance, responds to maintenance requests, and completes repairs in accordance with Hilton brand standards, hotel policies, and safety regulations. As an extended-stay hotel, the Maintenance Associate is responsible for maintaining guest suites that include kitchenettes and other in-room amenities.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform routine preventive maintenance throughout the hotel, including guest suites, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and exterior grounds.
· Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel departments.
· Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, appliances, furniture, doors, locks, windows, and other building systems.
· Maintain and repair guest suite kitchenettes, including refrigerators, dishwashers, microwaves, sinks, and cabinetry.
· Perform minor painting, drywall repairs, caulking, carpentry, and touch-up work.
· Replace light bulbs, air filters, batteries, and other consumable maintenance items.
· Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and potential safety hazards.
· Maintain hotel equipment and tools in safe working condition.
· Ensure swimming pool, fitness center, laundry equipment, and other guest amenities are operating properly (where applicable).
· Assist with seasonal property maintenance, including snow removal, ice control, landscaping, and exterior upkeep as required.
· Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, inspection records, and preventive maintenance schedules.
· Support emergency response procedures and respond to after-hours maintenance issues as needed.
· Follow all health, safety, fire, and environmental regulations while performing maintenance duties.
· Assist with room renovations, furniture installation, and hotel improvement projects.
· Provide courteous and professional service while interacting with guests and team members.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Previous hotel maintenance, building maintenance, facilities, or general repair experience preferred.
· Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance practices.
· Experience using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely.
· Ability to read and follow maintenance manuals, work orders, and safety procedures.
· Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts when required.
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
· Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
Pay: $18.60 per hour
