Expected Compensation:
We offer a competitive compensation package designed to reward both exceptional customer service and successful sales performance.

Base salary: $40,000 – $75,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
First-year commission opportunities: Commission paid on eligible new business sales in accordance with company commission schedules.

About the Role
Cayuga Mutual Insurance is seeking a motivated and member-focused Customer Service Representative with insurance sales ability to join our team.
In this role, you will support our growth initiatives by providing administrative support to the sales team and serving our members by responding to inquiries, identifying needs or gaps in coverage, and offering appropriate insurance solutions. The ideal candidate is professional, personable, and comfortable building long-term member relationships.
This position is well-suited for someone who enjoys helping people, can explain insurance products clearly, and is motivated by first-year commission opportunities on eligible sales.
What You’ll Do
- Support the sales team while working closely with other departments like Underwriting, Finance, and the Leadership team.
- Respond to inquiries by phone, email and in person interactions.
- Provide friendly, timely, small-town service to new prospects and existing members – this is who we are!
- Explain coverage options, process policy changes and answer billing questions.
- Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities where appropriate.
- Assist with quotes, property valuations, and other renewal activities.
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation in our CRM.
- Ensure all activities comply with Ontario insurance regulations and company policies.
- Support member retention through proactive service and ongoing relationship-building.
What You Bring
- Previous customer service experience, preferably in insurance or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to earn client trust and clearly explain insurance options.
- The positive attitude of a team player.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple member requests in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable using computer systems, CRM software, email, and quoting platforms.
- A positive attitude and strong commitment to client service.
- Insurance experience is an asset.
- Active Ontario insurance licence is preferred, OTL or RIBO.
- Candidates willing to obtain the required licence may also be considered.
Work Model
This position is based at our head office in Cayuga, Ontario and offers a hybrid work arrangement. We support work-life balance while maintaining the collaboration needed for team success. The hybrid arrangement must be approved by the Underwriting Manager and may be changed based on business needs.
