Welcome Home Construction is a growing construction company specializing in commercial construction, custom homes, multi-unit residential developments, renovations, and self-performed construction services.
We're looking for more than an experienced tradesperson—we're looking for a leader.
This is an opportunity to help build a growing company from the ground up. You'll work directly with company leadership, lead field operations, mentor future tradespeople, and play an important role in shaping our construction division as we continue to expand.

About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership position.
You'll lead a small field crew while remaining actively involved in the work. You'll coordinate daily activities, maintain quality standards, keep projects moving safely and efficiently, and help develop the next generation of tradespeople.
No two projects are exactly alike. Our work includes commercial construction, multi-unit residential, custom homes, excavation, concrete, waterproofing, and building-envelope projects.
What You'll Be DoingLeadership & Crew Management
- Lead and mentor a small field crew.
- Plan daily work activities and assign responsibilities.
- Promote a positive, productive, and safety-focused work environment.
- Train and support apprentices and junior team members.
- Work directly with company leadership to improve field operations.
Construction Operations
- Perform hands-on work alongside the crew.
- Read construction drawings and accurately lay out work.
- Coordinate excavation, concrete, waterproofing, roofing, and related construction activities.
- Monitor production to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and inspectors.
Quality & Safety
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards.
- Complete work in accordance with the Ontario Building Code and applicable regulations.
- Lead daily safety discussions and maintain WSIB documentation.
- Prepare projects for inspections and client walkthroughs.
- Identify potential issues before they become problems.

QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial, industrial, or multi-unit residential construction.
- Previous experience leading crews, supervising projects, or acting as a lead hand.
- Strong understanding of excavation, concrete, and/or building-envelope construction.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety and WSIB requirements.
- Valid Ontario G Driver's Licence.
- Reliable transportation.
Strong Assets
Experience with one or more of the following:
- Concrete forming and finishing
- Excavation
- Waterproofing
- Roofing
