Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled, ethical, and compassionate Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA) to join our team at Beyond Barriers Therapy Center (BBTC). As a regulated health professional in Ontario, the RBA will play a leadership role in the assessment, design, supervision, and evaluation of behaviour analytic services for both children and adults with diverse needs.
While BBTC primarily supports individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, we are a lifespan clinic that works beyond a single-diagnosis model. The ideal candidate is versatile, clinically strong, and comfortable working across a wide range of behavioural presentations.
BBTC is a fully assent-based practice. The RBA will be responsible for ensuring that all clinical programming and supervision align with assent-based, trauma-informed, and ethical standards. Candidates must demonstrate competency in assent-based care or a strong commitment to advancing their practice in this area.
This role requires strong clinical leadership, supervision skills, and the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining the highest standards of care.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive behavioural assessments, including functional behaviour assessments and analyses, to identify client strengths, needs, and environmental variables influencing behaviour.
- Develop, oversee, and continuously evaluate individualized, assent-based behaviour intervention plans targeting skill acquisition and behaviour reduction.
- Provide clinical supervision, training, and ongoing performance feedback to Behaviour Therapists and other team members to ensure high-quality and ethical service delivery.
- Ensure all interventions are implemented with fidelity and align with evidence-based practices in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA).
- Analyze data regularly to guide clinical decision-making, modify programs, and ensure meaningful progress.
- Lead and participate in team meetings, case reviews, and caregiver consultations to support consistency and generalization across settings.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to provide comprehensive, client-centered care.
- Oversee and ensure accurate completion of clinical documentation, including treatment plans, progress reports, and session notes.
- Provide mentorship and support to staff pursuing professional development in behaviour analysis.
- Ensure all services are delivered in accordance with the ethical and professional standards set by the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario.
- Support case management needs, including coordination of care and referrals to additional services when appropriate.
Experience
- Extensive experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental or behavioural needs across the lifespan.
- Demonstrated experience conducting functional behaviour assessments and developing comprehensive behaviour intervention plans.
- Strong background in supervising clinical teams, including training, mentoring, and performance management of therapists.
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis and decision-making within ABA frameworks.
- Experience collaborating with families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with a range of assessment tools (e.g., VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R) is considered an asset.
- Experience working within assent-based, trauma-informed, or client-centred frameworks is highly preferred.
- Strong clinical writing and documentation skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with research and best practices in behaviour analysis.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis, Psychology, or a related field with verified coursework in behaviour analysis is required.
- Current registration as a Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA) with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in behaviour analysis, including supervision of therapists and program oversight.
- Demonstrated competency in conducting functional assessments and supervising behaviour analytic interventions.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to ethical, assent-based practice and willingness to advance skills in this area if needed.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
