Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Daycare Teacher to foster a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. In this role, you will be responsible for creating engaging activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of children, and supporting their developmental milestones. Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early childhood learning and development
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety at all times
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging social skills, communication, and independence
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized care
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones
- Use computer skills to document daily activities, attendance, and incident reports efficiently
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in a daycare or early childhood education setting
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education practices
- Bilingual abilities in English and French are highly desirable to support diverse families
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
- Excellent organizational skills to manage classroom activities and documentation
- Ability to operate computers and related software for record keeping and communication purposes
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with effective time management skills
- Valid certifications in childcare or early childhood education are preferred; willingness to obtain necessary credentials if not already held
