Position Overview
Reporting to the Senior VP of Operations, the Operations Project Coordinator will be responsible for a myriad of operational projects that relate to payments, payouts, system reconciliations and any peripheral activities needed to ensure a smooth experience for our merchants and partners. Working with stakeholders across the organization, you will dive into projects and products that have high business value to ensure cohesion and that momentum continues to drive forward. As issues arise in real time, you will support the SVP Operations to address those issues immediately and derive solutions for the root causes. Gaining buy-in, communicating effectively, and demonstrating your understanding of how the business works will be an integral part of your day-to-day. No two days will be the same and there will always be exciting opportunities for the undertaking.

You Will:
- Work closely with the SVP Operations acting as their go-to person for delegation;
- Develop relationships with stakeholders in all departments and work cross functionally across the organization;
- Identify and solve problems that exist at any level of the business, providing real time operational support to projects and products resolving those issues or concerns promptly and efficiently - identify patterns in the problems and suggest how the root cause of issues should be addressed;
- Gather information and communicate updates to appropriate parties by providing staff with the necessary support and resources to effectively do their jobs to the best of their abilities;
- Create and update relevant documentation;
- Become an expert in how the business works to help executives identify ways to improve the company’s policies, workflows, and methods;
- Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement;
- Develop and maintain operational processes and workflows to ensure that resources are used efficiently;
- Identify gaps in standardized information, propose how to set up systems of record, and how to maintain them long term;
- Suggest what information should be collected at which point of different processes to ensure smooth operation of the business while allowing for auditability and troubleshooting of issues;
- Ensure processes will scale horizontally - ideally, if we 10x our volume and number of customers, the cost of running those processes should increase by less than 10x;
- Ensure that employees have access to and follow any operational guidelines necessary for the smooth functioning and success of the business;
- Examine, improve, and streamline business processes by collaborating with all departments to come up with realistic and efficient improvements regularly;
- Design strategies to improve workflow strategies;
- Manage upwards.
Requirements
Must Have Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management or a related field;
- 5-7 years of experience in business process analysis and project management;
- Familiarity with process mapping and modeling techniques;
- Working knowledge of Incident/Problem/Change Management frameworks;
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, study and interpret complex data;
- Ability to manage and perform multiple complex tasks;
- Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate process changes and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
Nice to Have Requirements:
- Experience working in a technology start up environment;
- Payments industry experience;
- Indirect tax vernacular and understanding.
