Where the Chemistry Happens…

The Quality Assurance Technician function is responsible for all in-process and final QA tests of Manufactured products and communicates results to production staff. Testing is also completed on production trials, rework, and some raw materials. Nonconforming results are communicated to Site Manager, Production, and authorized Chemists as necessary.

Formula for Success: You Will…

Maintain all Preventative Maintenance assigned. Including Fire Extinguishers, Emergency Exits, Emergency lighting, Self Contained Breathing Apparatus, Alarm system, AED etc.
Ensure the Lab and Spray booth are kept clean and orderly
Schedule annual Lab Equipment Calibration
Maintain the spray machine and spray booth in proper working order
Liaison with Sales reps to ensure sufficient warehouse stock and orders scheduled to be delivered in a timely manner to meet the customers needs
Lead the exposure reduction process at the Blackie Facility
Create all batch sheets for production as well as consume materials in all completed batches. Include any aged material and rework where possible
Track First Time Quality for Blackie Plant. Analyze data. Work with QC Manager.
Maintain QC records for life and maintain batch sheets for 6 years
Support in other areas of the plant as needed. Cross functional abilities at site is an expectation. Manage the LMS Learning management system for the site

Qualifications

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
3-5 years of experience in a Quality Assurance
5 years of laboratory experience
Bachelor's of Science (related field)
Must have strong oral and written communication skills
Must have proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
Comfortable working with hazardous materials and understanding the proper chemical handling, use and storage/disposal and safety equipment
