Overview
We are seeking an experienced Welder/Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components according to specifications and blueprints. This role requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to work with various tools and equipment, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all projects. Duties
- Interpret and read blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications.
- Utilize hand tools, lifting devices, power tools, and welding equipment to fabricate metal components.
- Assemble metal parts and structures according to design specifications.
- Weld structural aluminum and steel parts
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Flexible work times available.
- Adhere to all company safety requirements and work in a safe manner
Qualifications
- 3-5 years welding experience
- Must have aluminum welding experience, structural and plate
- CWB certification an asset
- Proficient in basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematic interpretation.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools such as grinders, drills, etc.
- Able to operate a metal cutting saw
- Comfortable using overhead cranes to manipulate work pieces
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
