About the role:
We are searching for a dynamic leader to oversee all operations in our Calgary warehouse as a hands-on supervisor for the afternoon shift (11:00 AM to 7:30 PM). As a people manager the Operations Supervisor will develop and lead a team of associates in attaining both personal and company goals.
What you will do:
- Direct and lead floor associates
- Schedule staff according to business demands
- Analyze shift and individual performance
- Develop strategies to ensure metrics are met
- Execute continuous improvement plans (LEAN)
- Ensure procedures and policies are followed
- Performance management
- Build strong relationships with associates and management
- Support and lead health and safety initiatives
- Change management
- Work alongside floor associates, as required
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
- Proven experience in operations management or a similar role
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Windows
- Familiarity with order picking systems and inventory management software
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Capable of performing heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
