Graphic FX is a locally-owned, family-run business specializing in custom sign production, vehicle graphics and other related products and services. We are Vancouver Island’s largest sign crafter. We are currently looking to add an enthusiastic, competent person to join our in-house design team. For us, having the right attitude and a strong work ethic is paramount. If you are an experienced designer with a technically-oriented mind, good spatial abilities, an eye for layout, and attention to detail and quality, we would like to hear from you.
In order to succeed and advance at Graphic FX, you must be a self-starter who is flexible and able to adapt to a variety of assignments, including occasional site surveys. Proficiency in CorelDRAW and print production experience would be considered strong assets. Candidates with previous experience designing for a company that manufactures custom built signs, a similar related manufacturing business, or a branding agency will be given preference.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years previous design experience
- Highly proficient in design software: CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator
- Portfolio showing a range of 2D & 3D design projects relating to branding and/or manufacturing
- Experience with manufacturing/shop drawings (Basic knowledge & attention to detail)
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic and respectful approach
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Reliable (expected to attend regularly and arrive on time each day)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Salary range $28 - $32 depending on experience. Benefit package available after probationary period.
