Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our dynamic food service environment. The Food Service Supervisor will play a key role in maintaining high-quality service, managing food handling procedures, and fostering a positive team atmosphere to enhance overall guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily food service operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet established guidelines and customer expectations
- Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling accuracy
- Lead, train, and evaluate team members; conduct interviewing and onboarding of new staff
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and dining areas in accordance with health regulations
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure an exceptional dining experience
- Collaborate with management on restaurant or hospitality operations to optimize service delivery
- Support team management efforts by fostering a positive work environment focused on teamwork, leadership, and hospitality excellence
Skills
- Proven experience in food service management or restaurant supervision with strong leadership capabilities
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Experience operating POS systems such as Micros POS; cash handling proficiency required
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage guest relations professionally
- Strong team management skills including supervising staff, interviewing candidates, and training employees
- Familiarity with restaurant management software and kitchen equipment operation
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Hospitality background including hotel or barista experience is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to lead by example, motivate team members, and uphold high standards of food quality and safety
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration
