Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Indian dishes, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
- Assist with food handling, storage, and sanitation to ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- Support meal preparation for dine-in and catering orders, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy
- Serve customers efficiently at the counter or during catering events, providing friendly and professional service
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment to uphold health standards
- Follow recipes and portion controls to ensure consistency across all menu items
- Collaborate with team members to manage busy service times and special event requirements
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings, preferably within the food industry
- Strong knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly, customer-focused attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Kitchen experience including use of cooking equipment and utensils required for Indian cuisine
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques specific to Indian dishes is a plus
- Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team
