Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of heavy machinery and will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment on-site. This position plays a crucial role in supporting construction, excavation, and other projects that require heavy equipment operation.
Duties
- Operate heavy machinery including bulldozers, cranes, loaders, and farm machinery to perform tasks such as digging, grading, and moving materials.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Collaborate with team members to execute project plans effectively while adhering to safety regulations.
- Build and maintain structures or landscapes as required by project specifications.
- Demonstrate mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment during operation.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and report any malfunctions or necessary repairs to supervisors.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as Caterpillar machinery, bulldozers, cranes, and loaders.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic maintenance and repairs on equipment.
- Experience in commercial driving is preferred for transporting machinery when necessary.
- Ability to dig and excavate safely while adhering to site safety protocols.
- Familiarity with farm machinery operations is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and supervisors.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in heavy equipment operation
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proficiency in operating Caterpillar equipment, including dozers, loaders, and excavators
- Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and maintenance
- Ability to effectively communicate and work in a team environment
- Familiarity with farm machinery is a plus
