We are seeking an experienced Manual Boring Mill Machinist to join our machine shop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating manual boring mills to produce precision components for a variety of industries, including industrial, manufacturing, and repair work.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual horizontal and/or vertical boring mills
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
- Perform precision machining on large and heavy components
- Measure and inspect parts using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.)
- Maintain tight tolerances and ensure high-quality workmanship
- Perform basic machine maintenance and housekeeping
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and standards
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Manual Boring Mill Machinist or similar role
- Strong blueprint reading and machining knowledge
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with large part machining is an asset
- Proficient with precision measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Physically able to lift and handle heavy components as required
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
