We are seeking a motivated and organized Project Coordinator to support our construction operations both in the office and on project sites. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys managing multiple tasks, working closely with construction teams, and helping projects move efficiently from planning through completion.
Position Summary
The Project Coordinator plays a key role in supporting Project Managers and Site Forepersons by coordinating project documentation, procurement, scheduling, site activities, and client communications. The successful candidate will split their time between the office and active construction sites, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and according to plan.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, and execution.
- Coordinate labour, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and deliveries.
- Track project progress and help maintain project schedules.
- Support managers with budgeting, cost tracking, and change orders.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, meeting minutes, and correspondence.
Construction Administration
- Review drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and project documents.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with project estimating.
- Issue purchase orders and
- coordinate material procurement.
- Track RFIs, submittals, and project closeout documentation.
- Maintain accurate project records and filing systems.
Site Coordination
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and support field crews.
- Attend site meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
- Assist in resolving site issues and coordinating solutions.
- Verify work is completed according to drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Support project scheduling and sequencing activities on site.
- Quality & Safety
- Perform quality control inspections and deficiency reviews.
- Assist with site safety inspections and compliance requirements.
- Promote GreenBrick's culture of safety, professionalism, and accountability.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a Project Coordinator, Construction Coordinator, or similar role.
- Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, Landscape Architecture, or a related field is an asset.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Experience performing quantity takeoffs and reviewing shop drawings.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with Bluebeam, Procore, Buildertrend, or similar construction software is an asset.
- Valid BC Driver's License and ability to travel to local project sites.
- Physical stamina: ability to lift weights up to 50 lb.

Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
