Shires Bakery is a family owned and operated business. We've been producing quality baked goods for almost 100 years. We are now mainly producing our delectable cookies. Which have an established reputation for being the best homemade feel soft "n" chewy cookies in Canada!
We are looking for a mature adult who is friendly, dependable and hard working to come join our team. This candidate will be doing multiple jobs on the line and MUST be able to work well in a fast paced environment. We don't believe in one person doing a specific job. We work together to get the job done.
Responsibilities
- Placing pans on conveyor, adjusting cookies and taking pans off conveyor- Very fast paced!
- Occasionally placing racks in and out of the ovens
- Consistently cleaning to keep a clean work environment and facility
- Step in on the line wherever is necessary to ensure a consistent workflow
- Adhere to all applicable job procedures as outlined

Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Bakery experience is an asset but not required
- Must work with speed and accuracy to keep up with the production process
- Must be a team player who is dependable and punctual
- Effective communication is essential
- Must have excellent attendance and work habits
Physical Requirements
- The majority of work in the bakery requires employees to stand on their feet for the entire 10 hour shift
- Physical demands include reaching, bending, walking, lifting (up to a maximum of 40lbs) and performing repetitive actions
