The Opportunity
This isn't a traditional accounting role.
Instead of managing the books for a single company, you'll bring your financial expertise to a diverse portfolio of Canadian businesses — helping them design, configure, and optimize their entire accounting function inside Odoo.
If you've owned the full-cycle close, been through at least one ERP implementation, and are ready for something with more variety and impact — this role was built for you.
We'll teach you Odoo. You bring the accounting expertise.
What You'll Do
- Conduct deep-dive sessions with client finance teams to map workflows, reporting needs, and pain points
- Lead the configuration of Odoo Accounting — Chart of Accounts, taxes, fiscal positions, and journal structures
- Oversee financial data migrations including opening balances, AP/AR, and reconciliations with 100% accuracy
- Design and implement custom financial reports, dashboards, and KPIs for real-time business visibility
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for all financial modules
- Deliver expert-led training sessions for Controllers and CFOs
- Act as the internal Subject Matter Expert for all accounting-related queries across the OERP team
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA designation or active pursuit — strongly preferred
- 5+ years in full-cycle accounting as a controller, assistant controller, or senior accountant
- Experience with at least one ERP implementation or migration
- Familiarity with NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, QuickBooks Enterprise, or Odoo
- Solid understanding of Canadian tax requirements (HST/GST/PST)
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have:
- Hands-on Odoo Accounting experience
- Previous consulting or client-facing experience
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or professional services
- French proficiency
