Full-time permanent Custodian / Janitorial Cleaner
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for production duties as assigned, maintaining cleanliness and order within our facilities and will have experience in industrial cleaning and facilities maintenance. This position will include maintaining the cleanliness of our facilities. Duties:- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, and vacuuming- Clean and sanitize restrooms and break rooms- Clean and Buff floors using industrial cleaning equipment- Empty trash and recycling bins- Keep inventory of cleaning supplies and notify procurement when supplies need to be replenished. Experience:- Previous experience in industrial cleaning preferred- Ability to operate industrial cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and vacuums
Duties
Details include:
-Production duties as assigned
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas daily and as required
- Keeping kitchen(s) clean and tidy & stocked as required
- Stocking cleaning and janitorial supplies,
- collects and disposes of garbage and recycling materials
- sanitizing equipment as required.
- Ensures the general upkeep of the facility such as cleaning the floors, washrooms, windows; dusting, vacuuming carpets
- Checks, cleans, moves, arranges and dusts furniture, fixtures and office equipment as required.
- Restocks washroom supplies including paper products, soap and hygiene products and distributes received material as required.
- Spot washes accessible walls, strips and waxes floors and shampoos carpets as required.
- Looks after recyclables within the facility including separating materials.
- Achieves an excellent cleanliness standard.
- Works with the Production and Maintenance departments to ensure the general upkeep of the facility and property such as mowing lawns, keeping sidewalks clear of snow and ice, cleaning the main floor’s outside windows, picking up litter, sweeping sidewalks, raking, gardening/watering and pruning shrubs.
- Completes reports as necessary on facility condition / operation.
- Prepares rooms for meetings and cleans rooms after use.
- Supports in company events and meetings in the preparation of food, event supplies and post event cleaning. Includes hosting for company BBQ’s, pizza days and corporate meetings and events.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- You have at least one year of experience in janitorial or cleaning services.
- You have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- You have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- You have a greta attention to detail, are able to work independently and follow instructions.
- You are able to lift up to 25 kg and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and reaching.
- Full-time, M-F, 7-3:30
