Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and skilled Production Worker to join our team. The primary responsibility is to assemble, finish, repair, and prepare cabinets or box while ensuring high standards of quality and craftsmanship. This role involves reading blueprints, assembling wood components, sanding and finishing surfaces, installing hardware, and performing minor repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, sand and trim wooden furniture and fixture parts
- Assemble wooden or metal furniture and fixture parts to form subassemblies and complete articles
- Read blueprints and drawings
- Reinforce assembled furniture and fixtures with dowels or other supports
- Install hardware on furniture and fixtures
- Decorate wood surfaces
- Mark defective parts or products for repair
- Strip old finish from wood surface
- Smooth gouges with wood filler and sand wood
- Make minor repairs to furniture
Qualifications / Skills:
- Valid forklift certification is an assest.
- Experience in shipping, receiving, or production/manufacturing is an asset.
- Ability to handle large, heavy materials safely.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Physically capable of standing, lifting, and moving materials for extended periods. (Up to 23 kg/50 lbs)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
