Full and Part Time Positions
Medical office assistants support doctors and other health care professionals by performing a wide variety of clerical and administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, photocopying, filing, and answering telephone calls and correspondence.
Duties
· Answer the telephone, schedule and confirm medical appointments, greet patients and receive and communicate messages
· Use health software (Wolf EMR) and other computer applications to book appointments or prepare reports, letters, and medical records
· Interview patients to complete intake forms or other documents, or help patients complete health history forms
· Initial patient screening: checking the vitals (blood pressure, heart rate , temperature), weight and height, visual acuity (for driver licence).
· Complete insurance and other claim forms
· Process payments, bank documents and accounts receivable
· Operate office equipment such as voice mail messaging systems, photocopiers, fax machines and document scanners
· Keep examination areas clean, orderly and stocked with supplies
· Perform other clerical and administrative functions as required (for example, order and maintain an inventory of supplies).
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $17.00-$21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
