The Canadian Cannabis Exchange (CCX) is seeking a Summer/Fall Student Co-op to join our team for a 4-month contract. There will be an opportunity for continued work upon completion of the contract, based on the candidate's performance and the company's needs. This position is based in our head office in Calgary, Alberta.CCX is a transparent liquid marketplace for B2B cannabis sales across North America. In a new, fragmented market, CCX is the preeminent wholesale Cannabis Broker, with the ability to process trades and deliver products across Canada, we are the #1 solution for buyers and sellers to ensure they are on top of the market. As a brokerage CCX helps to match buyers and sellers at market representative pricing in real-time.As a Co-op, you will be working alongside our team to provide support in various areas of our business, focusing on supporting the CEO's work. You will have the opportunity to learn about the cannabis industry and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support the CEO on strategic initiatives to drive growth and optimize operations
- Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations
- Assist in data analysis and market research to identify trends and opportunities in commodity markets
- Participate in the development and improvement of trading tools and platforms
- Provide administrative and logistical support for various projects and tasks
Requirements:
- Applicants must currently be enrolled in a recognized post-secondary institution in a related field (such as business, finance, or communications)
- Strong computer skills and experience using the Microsoft Suite of applications
- Experience using data analytics to write meaningful reports and confidently present findings to business partners
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work efficiently in a collaborative team environment
- Trustworthy and professional in dealing with confidential information
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to accurately analyze information and be adaptable to changing priorities
