Ambipar Response Canada is seeking a Senior Environmental Consultant to join our team in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This role supports environmental projects through field execution, reporting, and collaboration with Project Managers while ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
What You'll Do
- Execute project scopes of work and cost estimates in collaboration with the assigned Project Manager
- Communicate and obtain approval for any scope changes prior to implementation
- Track budgets and provide regular project status updates
- Conduct assigned field work, including safety documentation, logistics, stakeholder communication, vendor coordination, and technical execution
- Ensure completion of ground disturbance permits, pre-job hazard assessments, and all required safety documentation
- Collect, review, and validate field data for accuracy and completeness
- Maintain field equipment, calibration records, and check-in/out procedures
- Upload all required field and safety documentation to designated systems
- Provide site supervision and direction to contractors
- Remain current with environmental legislation and regulatory updates
- Complete required training and submit time and expense entries within 24 hours
- Prepare technical reports using approved templates within required timelines and budgets
- Participate in report review processes and implement required revisions
- Provide feedback on field documentation quality
- Perform other duties as assigned
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Land Reclamation, Agrology, Biology, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental site assessments, contaminated site remediation, and/or reclamation
- Strong understanding of industry best practices
- Professional designation or eligibility to register with a recognized professional association
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
