Accountabilities:
  • Prepare & review financial reports and analysis
  • Active involvement with period end close activities including JE preparations, reconciliations & in depth analysis.
  • Continuously monitor, recommend and implement process improvement initiatives to increases effectiveness and productivity of department
  • Reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
  • Prepare, upload and approve journal entries

Job Qualifications

The success in this role with require:
  • A minimum of 2 years of previous applicable industry experience, or a combination of education and experience
  • Currently enrolled in an accounting designation program would be considered an asset
  • Strong English and or French communication both oral and written
  • Ability to converse comfortably with business partners
  • Intermediate experience with spreadsheet applications, word documents and email (Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint & Word)
  • Professional attitude (business attire, communication with colleagues, positive attitude) professional demeanor
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with keen attention to detail and commitment to excellence
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently or part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to problem solve and offer constructive solutions
  • Ability to meet required deadlines/targets
  • Be flexible and able to adapt to change in a positive manner
