Assistant Manager, Private Client Administration – Eastern Canada

We have an opening for an Assistant Manager, Private Client Administration – Eastern Canada to join our Toronto team. This is a hands-on management role reporting to the Manager, Private Client Administration - Eastern Canada. In this role, you are responsible for leading a team of front line Associates to support Client Relationship Managers (CRMs) and deliver exemplary client service and flawless operational execution.
What You’ll Be Doing
Leading, developing, and managing a team of administrative staff including recruitment, coaching, employee relations, learning and development, and performance management.
Overseeing and participating in the day-to-day operations of the Sales & Service Support team including: pre-sales support, client onboarding, portfolio and trade administration, client reporting and relations.
Guiding the team members with complex situations and escalations through clear direction and effective liaising with internal support teams, external service providers, and clients.
Responsible for team’s performance within key operational areas including account opening, billing, trading, compliance and client service, monitoring high standards through available DI reports.
Establishing strong rapport with the individual sales managers ensuring regular exchange of feedback.
Analyzing current processes with a keen eye for operational efficiency and robust business controls.
Developing, testing, and implementing new procedures to accommodate changing business needs.
Acting as a key source of information for the team.
At least 3-5 years of back or front office experience with a record of increasing responsibility.
Proven client service experience with the ability to handle complex issues and sensitive clients.
Experience with training and coaching others on the team with the ability to manage conflict resolution.
Excellent writing, listening, and presentation skills with a proven ability to communicate information effectively to all levels of the organization.
Ability to effectively lead and motivate people to accomplish their goals.

Undergraduate university degree, preferably in a related field.
