We will be adding to our fun team within the next 30-60 days. Preferred candidates MUST be a team player, must have exceptional customer service skills, must enjoy speaking with customers and must have previous flower shop experience. We are a busy, high activity shop and there will be multiple tasks assigned to the right candidate.
Deer Valley Florist expects the following personality traits: confidence, honesty, team player, independent thinker, creative problem solver and you must be willing to be a keyholder. We are open 7 days a week and there will be evening and weekend shifts.
Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
- Exceptional Customer Service, receiving telephone orders, receiving website orders, receiving and sending wire orders internationally
- Floral Design, everyday, weddings & funerals (Your portfolio of work may be requested). You may be expected to create an arrangement of our choice during your interview.
- Create handtied bouquets for Customers
- Process fresh flowers to prepare them for sale
- Shop duties: sweeping/mopping floors, dusting, general shop maintenance
- Cleaning/disinfecting flower buckets, display coolers, walk in cooler
The current position will offer 25-30 hours per week to start; growing to more hours as the flower season gets busy. The flower business is seasonal with more hours available during special occasions, busy seasons/flower occasions.
