Business Development Specialist [Inbound & Outbound]

What are we looking for?
First & foremost - we're looking for someone that fits with our organization and our team. We want people who have a "can do" attitude.
Occu-Med conducts employee health testing and hearing testing throughout Southern Ontario, mostly at client locations. We go to factories, car dealerships, law firms, you name it ... if our client has people that need to be tested, we go to them. We have a high percentage of repeat clients, some of which have been with us for up to 30 years!

In Business Development, you’ll be the voice of Occu-Med. You’ll turn prospects into loyal customers by understanding their needs, offering our solutions, and ensuring they feel supported every step of the way. Your work will directly fuel our growth and help shape the future of our client relationships.
What You'll Do
- Engage in discussions with ongoing clients about their employee & workplace testing needs., primarily by phone, with some followup by email.
- Proactively identify and engage new business opportunities through outbound calls, and networking.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, acting as their trusted contact.
- Conduct needs assessments to recommend the right products or services for each customer.
- Visit clients as necessary to see their work environment, discuss needs, build and nurture relationships.
What You'll Bring
- 2+ years of proven success in B2B or B2C sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Ability to handle objections and be adaptable
- Exceptional communication and active listening skills
- A consultative selling style and the ability to build rapport quickly
- Comfort with CRM tools and an eagerness to learn
- Self-motivation, and a genuine passion for helping customers
- Organizational skills with attention to detail

- Position is full-time, weekdays (9:00 am to 4:00 pm, 32.5 hours/week)
