PRIOITIZE WORKLOAD/TIME MANAGEMENT
PARTICIPATE IN LOCAL COORDINATION NETWORKS
FACILITATE PSYCHO-EDUCATIONAL GROUPS
COMPLETE SAFETY PLANS AND RISK ASSESSMENTS
MAINTAIN MONTHLY STATISTICS
ON-CALL RESPONSIBILITIES ON A ROTATION
GENERAL OFFICE DUTIES AS PER THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
ADHERE TO ALL AGENCY POLICIES AND PHILOSOPHIES INCLUDING FEMINISIM, DIVERSITY AND INTERSECTIONALITY
Qualifications:
BSW/BA in social work or post-secondary schooling in a related field plus experience.
Experience working in the area of gender-based violence working with adults
Sound theoretical knowledge of gender-based violence, intersectionality and diversity
Training and experience in the provision of counselling services, both with individuals and groups – knowledge and practice of trauma and violence informed care
Knowledge of social housing practice and referral processes
Demonstrated skill in risk assessment, safety planning, advocacy, community outreach, crisis counselling and recording in highly sensitive and confidential situations
Knowledge of Perth County resources
Exceptional oral and written communication skills
Enhanced computer literacy
Recent criminal reference and vulnerable sectors check (less than 3 months)
