Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA)
1. Diploma or Degree in related field (i.e. Career development, Employment Counselling, Education, Workplace Training, Human Resources), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Two years recent and relevant experience working with adults in employment preparation programs.
3. Experience and training in group facilitation, teaching, and human resource development.
4. Experience in the use of career and skills assessment tools.
5. Demonstrated knowledge and involvement with local labour market including business, government and community based organizations.
6. Demonstrated competence and recent experience in the use of the internet, e-mail, MS Office Suite software and ability to learn and adapt to changing technology.
7. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with learners and employers from diverse backgrounds, including indigenous peoples, newcomers to Canada, and people with disabilities.
8. Ability to function as a team member in an ever-changing environment.
9. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
