At Own Chair Home Care, our motto is simple: Home care for seniors keep your chair, your keys, and your routine. We are a locally owned home care agency serving seniors across the Lower Mainland. We believe senior care should be dignified, unhurried, and deeply personal.
We do things differently than high-turnover national franchises. We never rush our caregivers through 15-minute task visits. All of our visits are a minimum of 3 hours, giving you the time to provide thoughtful, compassionate care, share a cup of tea, and build genuine 1-on-1 relationships with your clients.
Why Caregivers Love Working With Us
- Competitive Pay: $24.50 per hour, rewarding your hard work, credentials, and experience.
- Unhurried Care: 3-hour minimum visits so you never feel rushed or stressed.
- Consistent Client Matching: Work with 1–2 primary clients in your local neighbourhood rather than a revolving door of strangers.
- Local Shift Clusters: We keep your visits close to home to minimize traffic and long commutes.
- 100% WorkSafeBC & Liability Coverage: Every single hour you work is fully covered and protected.
- Paid Shadow Shifts & Orientation: We set you up for success with complete care plans and team support before your first solo visit.
