Who you are:
Reporting to the Regional General Manager, the Assistant General Manager is a true hospitality professional at heart with a strong background in venue operations. They are passionate about creating positive shareable experiences for guests and team members alike and thrive working late nights and weekends. They are fun, energetic and know how to throw a party!
They will be responsible for creating positive shareable experiences for guests at Dublin Calling Adelaide (Toronto), and other MRG-owned businesses, as well as drive business through community outreach.
The Role:
Guest Experience & Event Execution

Deliver excellent customer service to ensure high levels of guest satisfaction and repeat business.

Host and execute events and parties, ensuring a vibrant, high-energy environment and positive, shareable experiences for guests.

Collaborate with the sales team to fulfill service expectations for special events, including managing food service, staffing levels, and room set-up.

Effectively address guest concerns in a fair, honest, and timely manner.
Operations & Financial Management

Maintain top-notch service, safety, and cleanliness standards throughout the venue to achieve operational excellence.

Oversee and strategize ways to improve financial performance while strictly adhering to brand standards.

Maintain flexible availability to work weekends, holidays, late nights, and early morning shifts as required by venue operations.
Team Leadership & Culture

Foster a positive, fun, and inclusive work culture by motivating the team and cultivating an energetic environment.

Create strong professional relationships across the organization, exhibiting empathy and respect for team members at all levels.

Take ownership of staff training and development to ensure continuous growth and alignment with brand standards.
We are looking for someone with:

Valid Smart Serve Certificate required.
-
Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a similar role.
-
Experience in the Hospitality/Food and Beverage industry.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.
-
A proven track record of hiring, training and developing engaging team members.
-
Experience using software systems including Square & OpenTable (training provided).

Strong problem solving and organizational skills.

Experience leading a team with the ability to coach, delegate and support.

Evening, weekend, and holiday availability.
