Job Description
- Work with the delivery drivers to load and unload delivery trucks for the purpose of receiving and delivering materials and products.
- Work closely with Logistics/Inventory Manager tracking inventory levels
- Must count and document precise number of items loaded and unloaded onsite
- Must learn and understand all products in the yard and their uses. Be able to find items in a reasonable amount of time with minimal mistakes
- Verify order details, record delivery information and obtain proper paperwork.
- Deal directly with customers and ensure customer service levels are met and exceed expectations.
- Ensure high standards of housekeeping is always maintained within yard and storage areas.
- Correctly utilize forklifts and lifting equipment. Ensure daily inspections are carried out on all lifting equipment.
- Additional duties as required in line with applicable assessments.
Skills
- Must have excellent reading, writing and record keeping skills
- Diligence in relation to health and safety
- Great communication skills
- Ability to plan and organize workload and track completion, being flexible to cope with changing priorities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
- Willing to work extra shift/hours during peak season.
- Ability to drive truck and trailer for deliveries when personnel are on vacation or yard is slow
- Valid G Driver's License
- Minimum High school education or equivalent
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Previous warehouse experience an asset
- Forklift and or Tella Handler experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $23.83 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
