Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented optician/frame stylist to join our team. In this role, you will support the optometrist in delivering exceptional patient care while helping ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the optical office. The ideal candidate will have strong front desk and organizational skills, experience in patient care, and prior experience in an optical setting is a must.
**"Please note that the candidates must be available for shifts that can be during our business hours of 930am to 6pm Monday, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, 10am to 7 pm Thursdays, 10am to 4pm Saturdays.
This position may involve traveling between two locations starting in the fall. The successful candidate must be willing to commute between Cloverdale and South Surrey.***
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes at the front desk.
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar efficiently.
- Assist in conducting preliminary eye exams and gather patient history.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns.
- Manage inventory of optical products and assist with retail sales of eyewear.
- Educate patients on proper eyewear care and usage.
- Educating patients on different lens choices
- Helping patients selecting frames, taking measurements
- Collaborate with the optometrist to ensure a seamless patient experience.
- Assist with pediatric patients, ensuring their comfort during visits.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a optical setting is a must.
- Strong front desk skills with a focus on patient care and customer service.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to optometry is advantageous.
- Optical retail sales experience is a must for assisting patients with eyewear purchases.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
