Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Fitter/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components using various techniques and tools. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, blueprint reading, and safety protocols to ensure high-quality production standards. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication specifications.
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on various materials, ensuring precision and adherence to safety standards.
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and other fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components.
- Operate forklifts as needed to move heavy materials safely.
- Measure dimensions accurately with calipers and other measuring devices; perform basic math calculations for fabrication tasks.
- Fabricate stainless steel components, or custom assemblies according to project requirements.
- Assist in machining operations and use hand tools for assembly or finishing work.
- Follow safety protocols related to welding, machining, and manufacturing environments to maintain a safe workspace.
- Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks and ensure quality control throughout the fabrication process.
Experience
- Proven experience in welding (MIG and TIG), fabrication, or related manufacturing roles.
- Mechanical knowledge of machinery, schematics, and blueprint reading is essential.
- Familiarity with plasma cutting, and forklift operation is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, calipers, schematics interpretation, and basic math skills required.
- Knowledge of Stainless Steel sheet metal fabrication is a plus.
- Prior experience in manufacturing environments involving assembly or structural fabrication is highly desirable.
