With over 500 pieces of heavy construction equipment in Calgary, our heavy haulers and pilot drivers stay busy.
We are currently seeking an experienced and safety-oriented Pilot Truck Driver to accompany our join our growing Heavy Haul division. The qualified candidate will safely operate a pilot truck to escort oversized heavy equipment loads on local Calgary routes while monitoring traffic conditions and maintaining constant radio communication with the heavy haul drivers to coordinate safe passage and route adjustments.

Our Ideal Candidate:

2+ years of experience safely operating a pilot truck to escort oversized heavy equipment loads on local Calgary routes

Valid Class 5 driver’s license (Class 1 preferred) with a clean driver’s abstract
-
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Strong communication and critical thinking skills

Knowledge of load securement, blocking, rigging, and chaining

Commitment to working safely and efficiently

Physically capable of bending, crouching, kneeling, lifting, and crawling

Performs daily maintenance and thorough safety checks
Typical Schedule:
-
Monday – Friday: 10–12 hours

Saturday: 6–8 hours

Overtime pay after 8 hours each day and 44 hours per week

Vacation/Holiday pay of 9.6% of each cheque
