Thorpe Industries is looking for a motivated Glazing Labourer to join our growing commercial glazing team in Saskatoon.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, wants to learn a skilled trade, and takes pride in being part of a team that delivers quality workmanship on commercial construction projects. No glazing experience is required - we're willing to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Assist Journeypersons and Apprentices with the installation of commercial glazing systems
- Load, unload, and safely transport glass, aluminum, and other materials
- Prepare work areas, tools, and materials for installation
- Operate hand and power tools under supervision
- Clean and organize job sites, vehicles, and shop areas
- Assist with curtainwall, storefront, interior glazing, glass railings, and sealed unit replacements
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Perform other labour duties as assigned to support the glazing team
Qualifications
- Previous construction or labour experience is an asset, but not required
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials safely
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Comfortable working at heights and using ladders or aerial equipment (training provided)
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Valid driver's license is considered an asset
