Willow Creek Composite High School requires two (2) Part-Time (0.75 FTE) Temporary Educational Assistants. The positions will commence August 25, 2026 and end on June 29, 2027.
Under the direction of school administration, the Learning Support Teacher, and classroom teachers, the successful candidates will support junior high students with Individual Program Plans (IPPs) in an inclusive learning environment. Duties will include providing academic and classroom assistance, implementing strategies outlined in student learning plans, and, when required, providing individualized one-on-one support to students with higher needs to help them achieve their educational goals. Desired qualifications include the following:

Experience working with students in inclusive classroom settings, small group and one-on-one situations.

Demonstrated ability to build relationships with students who require patience and flexibility

Experience and training in working with students with different diagnoses from Autism to complex needs

Experience in working collaboratively with a Learning Support Team

Physically fit and able to keep up with the demands of working with students with a variety of complex needs

Educational Assistant certification and/or Health Care Aide certification or equivalent would be an asset
-
NVCI and/or SIVA training would be an asset.
