JOB OVERVIEW
Jake’s House is looking for a creative and analytical Digital Marketing & Communications Coordinator to assist with social media, digital creation, graphic design, and other marketing efforts. The successful candidate will be technologically savvy, well versed in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn), and possess strong communications, copywriting, graphic design, and digital marketing skills. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment is essential. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Digital Marketing:
· Support website maintenance and development using WordPress and related plugins in accordance with brand standards.
· Copywrite and produce valuable and engaging content for the website.
· Manage marketing campaigns through MailChimp.
· Provide administrative duties such as following up with quotes, coordinating meetings, and collecting information for branding/marketing.
· Manage a social media calendar and schedule posts.
· Curate engaging visual content using InDesign or Photoshop.
· Track and regularly report digital performance metrics for various platforms (e.g., social media channels, Google Analytics).
· Summarize and report event/campaign outcomes to inform strategies for audience engagement.
· Research new relevant trends in the industry to utilize in marketing promotions.
· Brainstorm with team members to develop new content ideas.
· Provide editorial, creative, and technical support to team members.
· Analyze data and compile reports, including metrics like engagement, community growth, referral traffic and conversions.
Social Media:
· Define and execute our digital strategy, specifically social media, across our channels, including our website, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter and LinkedIn, among others you identify as valuable.
· Assist in the creation and editing of written, video, and photo content.
· Create and implement digital / social media campaigns to support marketing, volunteer recruitment and fundraising goals.
· Communicate with followers and respond to all queries in a timely manner.
Content Marketing:
· Assist in developing and regularly update a master content marketing plan and calendar, in line with the team’s objectives, offline marketing plans, the overarching brand, and audience feedback.
· Support with creating engaging post on-brand text, graphic, and video content; repurpose it across all platforms, such as social media, blog, emails; develop a posting schedule based on user engagement metrics; test, listen, and learn often—your decisions should be data and insight-driven.
· Participate in the creation of all collateral, such as web graphics, postcards, booklets, branded gear, sponsorship packs, event invites, presentations, annual reports, and pitch decks.
· Assist in liaising with contractors/vendors to create necessary content and provide detailed direction (shot lists for photographers, storyboards for videographers, etc.) when external support is required.
REQUIREMENTS
· 2-4 years of experience as a social media marketer, community manager or as a digital growth specialist
· A university degree or college diploma in digital marketing, advertising, communications or a related field.
· Existing knowledge of Mailchimp, WordPress, and JotForm is required.
· Strong writing and editing skills, with compelling, authentic storytelling abilities, and a solid understanding of branding
· Intermediate photography and video skills for content creation
· Editing experience using InDesign, photoshop, or illustrator required.
· Strong communications skills, relationship building abilities and a customer service mindset
· Self-motivated, proactive, resourceful and results-driven
· Ability to attend weekly meetings and events and other planned and unplanned high visibility events that may require photography, videography, or other marketing support.
· Access to a personal laptop, mobile device and access to a vehicle
