Summary:
The Team Leader – Electrical Assembly is responsible for leading the electrical assembly team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role supports day-to-day work planning, troubleshooting, team development, and continuous improvement while working closely with the Production Superintendent.
Their primary responsibility is to lead, plan, organize, monitor and control manufacturing processes to ensure that the outputs meet production schedules as well as safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, plan, and coordinate electrical assembly work to meet safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency targets.
- Oversee the electrical assembly, wiring, installation, and troubleshooting according to drawings and specifications.
- Train, coach, monitor, and support team members while ensuring expectations and safe work practices are clearly followed.
- Coordinate with Production, Engineering, and other departments to support workflow, materials, and product improvements.
- Support continuous improvement and safety excellence through Vidir’s Risk Management System.

- Lead, plan, organize and control processes by coordinating and overseeing employee work assignments and establishing methods to meet work schedules to ensure lean manufacturing goals are achieved.
- Direct, train, monitor, coach and develop team members, using effective communication, training and performance reviews so that all team members have the necessary information to do their job to the best of their ability and understand all expectations.
- Leadership or supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, safety, and quality-focused skills.
- Drive safety excellence by demonstrating leadership accountabilities under Vidir’s Risk Management System.
- Electrical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and support basic troubleshooting.
- Certification in Electrical Application, or a related trade is preferred but not required.
