The company operates 2 manufacturing facilities located within the greater Vancouver area of British Columbia, Canada. The Position
We are looking to fill a Machine Operator, Production Line Full Time Permanent position. There are also opportunities to use training in Welding, Machining and Electrical in our maintenance department.
- Experience operating in a production environment is an asset, but our equipment is proprietary, specializing in building envelope materials so an on-the-job training program is available.
- Applicant must be physically fit, able to work a 40 to 48 hour work week, able to work day/afternoon/night shifts, and able to work at either of our two locations (Surrey or Burnaby).
- Owning a vehicle and having a valid driver's license are considered assets to the position.
- A valid forklift and Occupational First Aid Level One certificates are assets.
- Job duties will include operating specialized manufacturing equipment, quality control, labeling/stacking/packaging finished product, forklift work, and general warehouse duties, and if previous training in trades is applicable, equipment maintenance and improvements are also opportunities.
- Applicants must be OK with background and criminal checks and be able to supply good references to support any relevant work experience.
Compensation
Starting wage is $21.00 / hour plus a benefits package to be discussed upon completion of a Probationary period. There is also overtime pay, incremental increases, and bonuses as training and experience progress.
