Estimator / Site Supervisor - Athens, ON
Our client is a well-established civil construction firm with a strong regional presence, operating multiple locations and serving a wide range of clients across Eastern Ontario. With decades of experience in the industry, they specialize in delivering high-quality infrastructure, asphalt, and aggregate solutions for residential, commercial, and municipal projects.
This role combines estimating and site supervision, requiring a detail-oriented professional to prepare accurate cost projections, manage small crews, and ensure smooth project execution.

Responsibilities
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to identify and secure project opportunities.
- Provide aggregate material placement and equipment rental solutions tailored to regional market needs.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and grading requirements to guide site work.
- Supervise small crews (2–4 members) and oversee project execution, including earthwork, utilities, and asphalt paving.
- Maintain precise records, including daily journals, safety logs, and project documentation.
- Submit weekly schedules to support company-wide planning and coordination.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Develop accurate cost estimates, budgets, and material takeoffs for civil projects.

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in civil construction, estimating, and field supervision.
- Post-secondary education in civil engineering technology, construction technology, or a related field an asset.
- Experience preparing cost estimates, managing budgets, and leading small teams.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and industry-standard software (AutoCAD is a plus).
- Familiarity with survey tools, laser levels, GPS, and construction-grade software.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CET, CTECH) are considered a strong asset.
- Comprehensive knowledge of earthwork, utilities, and asphalt paving techniques.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check for institutional projects.

Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
